Effective Date: September 19, 2014
Our Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information
practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
What Is Personal Information?
The Information We Collect
The types of personal information we collect are:
- E-mail address
- Phone numbers
Further, we automatically collect certain information when you use our site and our services, such as your Internet Protocol (IP)
address, your operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring site and your activity on our site. We treat this
information as personal information if we combine it with or link it to any of the identifying information mentioned above.
Otherwise, it is used in the aggregate only.
We may also automatically collect certain information through the use of "cookies" or web beacons.
How We Use Information
We use email addresses, phone numbers and various contact information to send you notices, alerts, and messages from groups
you join on ArcZap and to provide you with the Services. Our intention is to keep your information private even from other
members of your group, but given the social nature of our network we cannot guarantee that information and messages shared
within your groups will not be seen by other members of that group or other third parties. For example, if you reply to a
group message it is possible that other members of your group may see your originating email address. Similarly, any
information that you make public through the Services will be shared with others.
Further, as we are in the early stages of development of the ArcZap service we may use your personal information to contact you for feedback and information about your experience and opinions of our service.
What Steps Do We Take To Protect Your Information Online?
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Please be aware, however, that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
What About Children's Privacy?
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13. If you become aware that your child under 13 years of age has provided us with personal information without prior verifiable parental consent, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our files.
Accessing, Reviewing and Changing Your Personal Information
If you have an account with ArcZap, you can access, review and modify your personal information at any time by logging into
your account. Please note, however, that we may maintain a copy of the unmodified information in our records.
If you post messages through the Services, it may not be possible to later edit or delete those messages.
You may contact us at email@example.com to review any personal information we store about you that is not available on the Services. There may be a charge associated with such requests.
We may delete personal information when we no longer need it for the purposes we described earlier. Any information that you have made public, however, may continue to be displayed unless you remove it. Additionally, we retain personal information as permitted by law to resolve disputes, enforce our policies, and help prevent bad guys from coming back.
